Issues with Load Runner Controller 11.0

[ Edited ]

Hi Guys,

I started using load runner 11.0 for load testing and controller is behaving weird.

I installed the controller and used the trail period for few days, before expiring trail period, we applied permanent license keys for the controller and ran the some scenarios with controller successfully but after few days when i try to open the controller it was giving the following error message

License security violation. Operation is not allowed. To renew your license[s], contact HP Software’s Customer Support”.

I reinstalled the load runner and seeing the same issue again and again. Please let us know how to resolve this issue.

Some times it is giving this error message when i try to open the controller

" Can't Initialize the Driver dll Exiting"

Thanks for you help.

Thanks,

Nagesh.

Re: Issues with Load Runner Controller 11.0

Might be an issue with permanent license for the protocol you are using. Check the license detail in LoadRunner - Configuration - LoadRunner License. Assume you have already checked this, best thing is to get a direct help from HP support (if you have bought it from HP). Sometimes these issues occur due to mismatch between license file provided by HP and details they maintain in their server.

Thanks

Hi Nagesh,

I've seen the same message on Windows 7 and struggling to get over it.

Can you please confirm on which Operating system did you see this message and did disabling UAC & DEP solved this.

Regards

JP

Re: Issues with Load Runner Controller 11.0

I had the same issue. This is what I did:

1. Disabled UAC to lowest level possible

2. Disabled DEP for LR Controller program (wlrun.exe)

3. Re-run the Controller as Administrator

In my case, the error message popped-up together with an empty LR License window. I put in the LR Controller License Key in that window and voila! No more error message and LR Controller works just fine.

But, your experience may vary. If you didn't see that empty LR License window together with that error message, just raise a ticket to HP Support. They would surely know how to help you.

Good luck!

Re: Issues with Load Runner Controller 11.0

Guys,

Make sure to login to controller as a administrator. If your controller is joined to a domain and logged in with domain users, make sure to run the program as administrator. This should resolve the issue.

Thanks,

Hi Praveenbatta,

If you need to purchase a new license you should contact  a sales representative.

If you have purchased the license you can get it from the following link:
https://h30580.www3.hp.com/poeticWeb/portalintegration/hppWelcome.htm

If you there is a problem with existing license you should open a case with support.

Kind regards,

Issue with Load Runner Controller 11.5

Hi,

We are facing one issue with controller. We have installed controller 11.5 on the server and when we run a test with 20 vusers or above the controller gets hanged. It works fine with 1 or 2 vusers.

We have 1000 vusers license. RAM 32GB, CPU 2.6 Ghtz.

Please let us know if there is any fix for this issue.

Thanks,
