IE8 Crashes with Vugen 11.03

Dear Experts,

 

  We have Installed Vugen 11.03 on Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise but while recording the script browser crashes.

 

 Browser installed is IE8

 

Please Suggest asap.

Win 2008 R2 is supported only on LR11.04. Install Patch 4 and check.
Clicking the "Kudos star" to the left is a great way to say thanks!

Can you provide us the path from where we download 11.04 patch?

 

Sometimes it is working sometimes not if compatibility is the issue then this should not work at all

 

Any ways we will try doing this workaround also

Tried installing Vugen 11.04 also but no luck

Make sure you have all unwanted add-ins disabled.
Disable anti-virus if any

Hi,

IE8 crashes have several reasons.

I suggest you start checking the following:

1-      DEP, Windows Defender, UAC, Windows Firewall and antivirus are disable (restart the computer)

2-      Run VuGen as Administrator

3-      Check the following keys that need to be empty into the windows registry:

  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE \Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\AppInit_DLLs
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\AppInit_DLLs

4-      Go to the LoadRunner install software and find the <root>\lrunner\En folder. Run as administrator the setup.exe and follow the wizard to Repair your installation.

 

Do you have a crash message error? If yes, please post it.
