AJAX TruClient - How to handle random link

HI,

I am trying to handle random links in my application. There are n links in application but there positions are continuously changing (sometime text of link is also changing).

As per the requirement, we need to open 1st link only.

During recording, xyz link got recorded but during replay its not able to recognize it, as the position of xyz link is already changed.

Is there any workaround to handle such types of links?

Regards,

Deepak

Hello

Please try with the regular web protocol on html or URL mode, even if the links change their position, this protocol will be able to handle this.

The GUI protocols such as truclient, rely and what we get on screen and if it changes then that breaks the script flow, there are few trick you can do here (see attached doc), but problably you will just find out that the best way is to go over regular web protocol

Re: AJAX TruClient - How to handle random link

Thank you Editus.

But I can't go with web protocol due to some issues. The only option is TruClient for my application. Anyways, I will go through attached document and try to handle that.

Deepak
