CICS Subroutine

I AM PLANNING ON WRITING A SUBROUTINE WHICH WILL BE USED TO DETERMINE IF A SPECIFIC DATE EXISTS ON A SPECIFIC FILE.

THE FIRST TIME THE SUBROUTINE IS CALLED I AM PLANNNG ON LOADING THE DETAILS OF THE FILE IN A TABLE WITHING WORKING-STORAGE.

THEN ON SUBSEQUENT CALLS I WILL PASS A DATE WHICH WILL BE USED TO SEARCH THE TABLE FOR A SPECIFIC DATE.

WHEN I DO MY SUBSEQUENT CALL TO MY SUBROUTINE WILL THE DATA STORED WITHIN MY TABLE IN WORKING STORAGE STILL BE AVAILABLE TO MY PROGRAM AND CAN THE DATA BE CORRUPTED BY OTHER TRANSACTIONS WITHIN CICS

Re: CICS Subroutine

Unless I misunderstand your question, you need to be posing this on an IBM support forum that specializes in CICS. HP MPE/iX doesn't support CICS.

Re: CICS Subroutine

MPE supports CICS by the name IMF.
