Rename disk from disk8,9 to disk1,2

http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/System-Administration/FREE-PROCEDURE-Renumber-disk-devices-on-HP-UX-11-...

I follow this guide, works all fine.

Only a question,is possible to rename the three to assign disk1,2,3..

instead of disk7,8?

I try to explain better, affter reorder the three,i get

first scsi disk: disk0 OK

first ide disk: disk1 :(

second scsi disk: disk7

third scsi disk: disk8

I prefer

first scsi disk: disk0

second scsi disk: disk1

third scsi disk: disk2

first ide disk: disk3

Is possible to do this?

Thanks

Hi,

you can try out 11.31's io_redirect_dsf:

http://docstore.mik.ua/manuals/hp-ux/en/B2355-60130/io_redirect_dsf.1M.html

Windows?, no thanks
