CX2620 DRAM failure on DIMM XX, deallocte rank

Hi All,

We have some CX2620 on our network, about 3-4 years old, during last month, some of them had the problem "DRAM failure on DIMM XX, deallocte rank" randomly.

Is this problem known ? Can it be a chipset or processor error ?

in the logs it appears like that :

394: DRAM failure on DIMM XX, deallocte rank (CAB=0 CELL=0 CPU=0) Location:
      E0 00 A0 0F 80 64 74 FF 1A 00 FF FF FF FF

 395: DRAM failure on DIMM XX, deallocte rank (CAB=0 CELL=0 CPU=0) Timestamp: Wed Mar  9 05:01:35 2011
      E0 00 A0 0F 00 6B AF 09 77 4D 00 00 00 01
Have a nice day and thank for the upcoming answers,

Re: CX2620 DRAM failure on DIMM XX, deallocte rank

You may want to look at the page deallocation table to see if any particular DIMMs are affected.  This can be done two ways:

If you are running HP-UX, start CSTM (#cstm) and view the info log for memory: (cstm> ru > logtool>  vda  (and) vd.

Otherwise, reboot and access the EFI Shell.  From the Shell> prompt run "pdt" and  "dimmconfig"
