According to the most recent information I could find, which is from 2001, and which may well be outdated by now:
> The only LVD drives supported on 7.0 are the drives
> internal to the system. For external drives, HVD is
> only option right now on 7.0.
Is this still current? Or is there a patch (or patches) for 7.0 that allow external LVD drives? If so, are we restricted to A- or N-Class systems, or will LVD work on 9x9 systems?

1) LVD drives are only supported on e3000 A/N-class servers. No LVD support on 9x9 servers.
2) MPE/iX 7.0 base OS provides support for external LVD drives with Interface cards A5149A (Single Port, SE/LVD Ultra2 SCSI Adapter card) and A5150A (Dual Port, SE/LVD Ultra2 SCSI Adapter card). Dual-port cards are only supported on N-class systems.

One more question... assuming we have an A- or N-Class system with the appropriate adapter card, do you know if we will have any issues with an SC10 disk enclosure, or will it work just fine?

HP SureStore E SC-10 LVD/SE Disk Enclosure is not supported on MPE/iX. To host LVD/SE disks, you'll need the HP SureStore DS2100, DS2300 disk storage enclosures. For mode details on supported and unsupported devices on an A/N-class servers, refer to the MPE/iX 7.5 Communicator e3000, Chapter 5, Technical Articles, pages 86-90.
