Could you be more specific? MPE/iX is an Operating System running on the HP e3000 system servers (A-class, N-class, 99x, 9x9, 9x8, 9x7).
The most current MPE/iX OS version release is 7.5.
More information on MPE/iX and HP e3000 servers are available at http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/prodserv/serve

To add slightly to what Emile has posted. The current and LAST version is 7.5 with a PowerPatches (PP). PP2 is now shipping to HP support customers. Support from HP goes away at the end of 2006.
Another source of good information is the 3000-L, a listserver use group at hp3000-L@raven.utc.edu. It is monitored by numerous HP3000 gurus.
MPE/iX is not to be confused with MPEX, a third party sofware product from VESoft, Inc., in Los Angeles, Ca.

I wonder if you are asking what MPE/iX stands for? If that is what you are asking, here is the answer:
Multiprogramming Executive with integrated POSIX.
It is used only on HP3000 computers.
