32 Bit or 64 Bit SQL Server Backbend used ?

We would like to seek your advice whether there is any relationship between Client & SQL Server Backend.

If we are using both 64 Bit Client & 32 Client, does it mean that we have to use 64 Bit SQL Server Backend ?

On the other hand, if we only use 32 Bit Client, does it mean that we can only use 32 Bit SQL Server Backend ?  If it is the case, does it mean that we have to change SQL Server from 32 to 64 Bit in the future if we start using 64 Bit Clients ?

Thanks

The TRIM servers communicate with the SQL server through a database connection (either the Native or OLE DB Drivers).  So you don't really need to worry about whether the server is the same bit level as the database server.  For performance 64bit SQL server is better, but not required.
