Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to burn an ignite bootable image with Nero under Windown NT?. I have downloaded an Ignite bootable image from a ftp server to my PC, but after burning and some tries K -server does not recognice the CD created with Nero under Windows NT.

I don't find any clear answer to my problem.

Thanks in advance

Re: Burning an Ignite image with Nero

Theres a raw option with Nero to burn a CD image - and with it is a selection box where the blocksize is configurable - change it to 2048 bytes and then write it - and it will create a bootable ignite CD for your HP server. This is how we do ours, works great.

Re: Burning an Ignite image with Nero

We use version of Nero; 5582

option is under File -> Burn Image
Then select your iso image, then you get a window which lists; Type of Image (Data Mode 1)
and further down; Block size (Bytes). Select 2048 (2k - which HP needs to boot).

Then click on OK.

Re: Burning an Ignite image with Nero

Rename your image to end on .iso
Associate the .iso extension to nero (if it is not already)
Double click on the .iso

Done :)

Re: Burning an Ignite image with Nero

You make the image on the HP-UX server, ftp or whatever to the NT system and then burn an iso-9660 file.

There are a few things you need to do to the image to make it capable of booting a 9000 server.

Refer to the Ignite class guide from HP Education.
