Possible to PXE boot without a DHCP service running on ICE server?

Hi all,

I am in the midst of installing ICE 7.1 and was told that the ICE server can't be a DHCP server and there are no DHCP servers allowed on the network.  Is it possible to take advantage of ICE and the features of deploying images to servers without the DHCP service running?  Will a server still boot PXE even if the DHCP service isn't running?

Any help would be appreciated...

It's possible but you need an IP address to PXE boot so not ideal. I don't see why you cannot deploy a DHCP server on the network. Where did you read that?

If my post was helpful please award me Kudos! or Points :)
