Service Manager 9.34: App Enhancements & Integrations Improve Usability, Scalability & Survey Mgmt

When considering an upgrade to HP Service Manager 9.34, there are some individual application enhancements, along with the main features that get all the attention, that are also worth evaluating. Specifically, you will find that an enhancement to the Text Import Wizard improves usability when loading pre-defined data, a better Incident Exchange integration solution with HP Operations Manager (OM) improves scalability and an enhanced survey management function improves your entire user survey process.   • Free downloadable “HP ITSM Service Request Catalog” iPad App (search in the iPad App Store using “hp src”)

Welcome to Service Manager 9.31! We’ve included many new features and functionalities in the latest SM release to help you get the most out of your service desk. One such improvement we are rather excited about is the ability to customize and stylize your Service Request Catalog.  Background symbols and images, separator lines, logos, and fonts can all be transformed to reflect your unique branding.

And that’s a wrap! Pink Elephant 2013 was a huge success, and we were thrilled to be a part of it!

 

Remaining true to its Las Vegas location, the interactive conference was infused with perpetual entertainment that drew as many laughs as it did tears and ultimately, left participants ready to head back to their respective teams moved and motivated.   • Jody Roberts is a researcher, author, and customer advocate in the Product Foundation Services (PFS) group in HP Software. Jody has worked with the UCMDB product line since 2004, and currently takes care of the top 100 HP Software customers, the CMS Best Practices library, and has hosted a weekly CMDB Practitioner's Forum since 2006.

The solutions are optimized for tasks like provisioning, patching, compliance, remediation and processes like Self-healing Incidence Remediation and Rapid Service Fulfilment, Change Management and Disaster Recovery. Shelat has 21 years of experience in IT, 18 of these have been at HP spanning across networking, printing , storage and enterprise software businesses. Prior to his current role as a World-Wide Product Marketing Manager, Shelat has held positions as Software Sales Specialist, Product Manager, Business Strategist, Project Manager and Programmer Analyst. Shelat has a B.S in Computer Science. He has earned his MBA from University of California, Davis with a focus on Marketing and Finance.

Over the years, Yvonne has had factory and field roles in several different HP businesses, including HP Software, HP Enterprise Services, HP Support, and HP Imaging and Printing Group. Yvonne has been masters certified in ITIL for over 10 years and was co-author of the original HP IT Service Management (ITSM) Reference Model and Primers.
