Reinventing IT Service Management with HP Propel

The topics of re-emergence of shadow IT via the cloud and optimizing multi-supplier management are some of my favorites today. Making sure that organizations optimize their IT spending overall, while minimizing risk, and being agile and responsive are daunting challenges. Does this pose a Catch 22 or a Gordian Knot? It doesn't have to.

Introducing HP Propel

HP Propel is the first ITSM framework of its kind, transforming IT into a true services broker. It features fully integrated services through a single, consumer-friendly, cloud-based portal to end users, without requiring that you replace back-end systems or processes. And, it is powered by an open services exchange.

HP Propel can reduce associated service desk activities by 15 percent and the management of supply chain suppliers by 50 percent. It can help shift IT from being reactive and tactical to a more efficient organization that drives business value and innovation.

If you are interested in learning more about HP Propel, I encourage you to read a blog that June Manley posted earlier today over on the HP Discover Performance blog.

There is also a Brighttalk webinar this Thursday on the general topic of ITSM in a multi-sourced world. This is right in line with the HP Propel initiative. Please join us or catch the replay.
