Reduce the complexity of change through visibility - See HP DDMA and UCMDB in action

Whether you are embarking on transformation project of moving from your energy inefficient legacy infrastructure to modern converged infrastructure or modernizing your applications developed on older and soon to be going out of support operating systems like Windows XP,  it really helps if you truly understand what you have in your IT environment and how they are dependent on each other.

HP Discovery and Dependency Mapping ( DDMA ) software offers this visibility in to your IT environment.  In my last few blogs, I talked about how HP DDMA can improve the visibility into the datacenter and how it can help customers in various data center transformation projects.

One of our field champions of HP DDMA and UCMDB, Al Hsu, and I recorded  a demo of HP DDMA right before the holidays in December 2010 . You may find this demo informative.

Through this scenario demonstration of DDMA, hear and see how you can:

  • find out how easily you can discover new applications and their dependency on other applications and underlying IT Infrastructure
  • define service models within the UCMDB
  • perform impact analysis to better understand the potential impact of changes
