PIZZAZZ! Energy and Style hit the stage with HP Service Request Catalog and Service Manager 9.21

HP Service Manager (SM) 9.21, showcasing the new Service Request Catalog (SRC), is now available!  The SRC in SM 9.21, radiating both vitality and glamour, provides a state-of-the-art, Web 2.0-based service portal to manage the complete service request lifecycle.

This innovative user interface to the service request process was developed from the ground up with the end users in mind and it simplifies the requests of standardized IT goods and services available to the business and its employees.  It provides transparency into service cost, delivery and status.  Unlike competitive offers that were built by IT for IT, the SRC is a service catalog for everyone, and can deliver significant benefits to the customer such as reducing the time required to handle service requests by up to 50%.

The SRC in SM 9.21 is:

  • Simple:  Deploys out of the box with Service Manager 9.21 with an intuitive user interface that does not require separate administration.
  • Efficient:  Plugs into existing catalog data, has no need for data or workflow transformations and integrates seamlessly with the existing HP Service Manager Service Catalog and its powerful backend Request Fulfillment engine.
  • Flexible:  Leverages HP’s new defining role in SPACL standards and is designed to plug into other back ends.

New features include an all new Web UI for easy navigation, a dashboard for user specific information and many more.
