HP Service Anywhere—Going Beyond the Hype

Media hype aside, Service Anywhere is entirely capable of turning users into believers thanks to a robust set of service desk capabilities, including:

 

  • A single intuitive interface that handles inbound requests and IT service configuration information as well as incident, problem and change management
  • Social collaboration tools that share and record advice and communications to reduce escalations by immediately engaging the right people to resolve issues
  • An integrated platform that takes full advantage of HP Software portfolio strengths, leveraging HP Universal Configuration Management Database and HP Universal Discovery to provide organizations accurate and consistent views of IT infrastructure and systems

Recent studies corroborate the increasing demand for SaaS offerings. According to a report by the International Data Corporation, the cloud software market generated $22.9 billion in 2011 and will grow to $67.3 billion by 2016—an annual growth rate of 24%. SaaS-based systems management software is growing at only a slightly lower rate of 19.6%.

 

“About 75% of the deals I see have at least one SaaS vendor on their short list. SaaS-based products only represent about 10% of the market today but will account for 50% by 2015,” said Gartner senior research analyst Jarod Greene.
