Following Vienna Remotely

We had a Service Manager customer advisory board (CAB) meeting yesterday. Hot topics were everything related to self service and request management (catalogs, portals, chat/collaboration, ...). And, configuration management was the other hot topic - CI types, models, best practices, ... . Lots of good interaction.

I've personally been in a couple of "Meet the Expert" sessions, but I defer the expert part to my R&D colleagues. The demo area has been pretty packed. Collaboration is part of the self service conversation, and we're showing new SM chat capabilities along with our overall launch of Enterprise Collaboration. We're also showing the new surveys (from MarketTools). I got a demo of this along with the backend analysis capabilities. And, we're showing a variety of new change capabilities, the new UCMDB Configuration Manager integrations along with the new change best practices.

It is sunny outside (having lived in Germany for a couple of years I don't take this for granted).

Life is good.

And again, if you want some highlights from HP Discover in Vienna - www.hp.com/go/discovervienna
