<Support Tip AM > Multitenancy vs Asset Restriction , what to choose ?

Multitenancy and Access Restrictions are different features of the Asset Manager application.
Both the features give access to specific data within the database but they have different purposes.

Multi-tenancy refers to a principle in software architecture where a single instance of the software runs on a server, serving multiple client organizations (tenants).

Access Restriction is a part of User Profile which controls access to which record a user can access within the same organisation.
You have User rights within the User Profile which define the read , write , update , delete rights on each table and records.
But which records a user can view is defined by access restrictions.
So access restrictions allows a user has to access data related to his own department, or records which are assigned to him, or records which are situated in his location.
