Re: motherboard wiring diagram

BTW,

if you open your PC, stamped on teh motherboard is the manufacturer Part number.

It is usually etched into the face.

If you copy the manufacturer (ASUS, ACE etc) and also list the MOB P/N... there is a better chance for us to help you....

Re: motherboard wiring diagram

It should say like P2B-VT or P3C-D or A8AE-LE.
The number you found is probably the part number... It is usually basic like the above ASUS mother boards. You should also be able to find the name like ASUS, Intel etc.

I found mine in between the PCI slots but it can be almost anywhere.

Re: motherboard wiring diagram

Is your Power supply new with the case?

Do you get power on your old power supply ?

Re: motherboard wiring diagram

If neither worked, I would start to blame the mother board as the problem. There are no fuses on a motherboard.

Is it a used MOB or a new one?

Either way, the odds of 2 power supplys not working are very small chance it is the PS that is the problem.

When you say tehre is no power do you mena there are NO green lights or anything that works like the fan in the power supply etc.

You are giving us very little to work with.

Tell us if there are sounds like fanes working or not, lights or anything. If everything is dead 100% then tell us that.

Is the 1st power supply the one that came with the MOB and at one time did work ?

that type of data we need....

As far as the MOB number, we might be able to look up the MOB on the internet but we need the brand and MOB number I asked for in previous posts. BUt just data from you, we might be able to solve this one....

Just for your information,
With HP computers, there are no wiring diagrams. There are no schematics that are available to the public. Everything is so proprietary that its us here at the forums that use experience and not diagrams to diagnose the PC's. We do not work for HP, we are volunteers that do this for a point system. All for free.

Re: motherboard wiring diagram

Again if it is dead with 2 power supplies that more than likely it is the mother board and not the power supplies. Mother boards are pretty cheap. Its the RAM and the CPU that gets expensive.
