Install the Nvidia Chipset software first and reboot before installing other drivers:

The LAN function is provided by the NVIDIA integrated MAC, not Realtek. The RTL8201CL is a PHY chip and doesn't need any drivers. HP's specs list the LAN as Realtek, when its actually NVIDIA.

You would think a computer company would know the difference between a PHY chip and a controller chip, but its not uncommon to see even motherboard manufacturers list the PHY chip as providing the LAN function (when it does not). Oh well...

Drivers worked just fine;with the exception of the modem drivers. But thanks for your help.
