Need XP drivers for wireless keyboard 5188-6816 Rev2.3 (Pavilion A6237C)

I've downgraded my new HP Pavilion A6237C to XP Pro and it was a piece of cake! All drivers can be found on nVidia website for all motherboard components and the built-in video card. The sound card driver can be found from Realtek website and modem are build by Connexant. The only thing I can't get to work with XP are the wireless multimedia keyboard provided with the PC. The keyboard are PN# 5188-8816 (rev2.3). The keyboards itself work well, but none of the MM hot key are working. I already download and try all the freakin' 2006 keyboard drivers package from HP website (spring 2006, summer 2006, fall 2006, late 2006) and no one recognize my keyboard MM hot key. And all HP keyboard drivers packages begining at 2007 are Vista only! Thanks for you help!

Re: Need XP drivers for wireless keyboard 5188-6816 Rev2.3 (Pavilion A6237C)

Hello Simon or any other whiz out there , I also have the HP Pavilion a6237c computer. I am dual booting Vista and xP but I lack sound in XP and the video is a little squirrelly. I would like to do a new XP install but I could not find the drivers you talked about on the nVidia website. Can you head me in the right direction to find it and any other helpful hints would be appreciated. Thanks Jim

Well, I don't want to hurt you, but maybe you just need a little more search on NVidia website because the drivers are very easy to find. You just have to click "Download drivers" on the main page, then select "nForce" as the product type, then select "nForce Serie 7" as the product serie, then select "730a" as the product. Obviously select XP and your language also. All those specifications (model numbers, etc) can be found easily in your owner manual got from HP. BTW, here's the direct link for you :

http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_730a_710a_winxp_18.11.html

This is the driver for the motherboard, you also need to do the same thing for video card (built-in GPU is a GeForce 6150), so in the same section, select "GeForce", then "Serie 6" then "Windows XP"... Here's the direct link :

You DO have to have the .NET software loaded to run the MM keys.

Or it will not work.

Any version of .NET from 1.1 to 3.0 will work.

I guess we all could search harder rather then ask help from someone who already has the answer. I'll remember that and won't need the forum. Thank you for the info.
