iPAQ Data Messanger Vodafone branded

Hi, I have an iPAQ Data Messanger (FB150AA#ABD), which is branded for Vodafone. Now I want to install an unbranded BIOS, because I use the device with T-Mobile. Any hints for doing it?
Regards
Manfred

Re: iPAQ Data Messanger Vodafone branded

One way is to get a code from Vodafone to unlock the device.

I think that within the EU, at least here in SE, it is legal to unlock and unbrand phones and I have had this done on some phones. There are shops where they do this.

Re: iPAQ Data Messanger Vodafone branded

Hello Kai, thanks for response. I don't need to unlock this device, because I can use it with T-Mobile SIM-Card. It's just for replacing the BIOS. Is the code mentioned necessary for installing a non Vodafone BIOS?

Re: iPAQ Data Messanger Vodafone branded

I dont know. I have only had phones unlocked and unbranded at the same time.
If you can use the phone with another carrier, then it cannot be locked to Vodafone.
