Upgrade to provide WPA-PSK security for iPaq 2495b

[ Edited ]

I have had a handheld model 2495b for several years, and frankly do not use it. I found the tiny screen and stylus too irritating. But recently I decided to revisit it and found that the only type of wireless authentication it allows is WEP. My network uses WPA-PSK so I would have to lower the network back to a less secure state to allow the HP to connect. This is OK when you are connecting to an open network at Starbucks or somewhere but not at home.

My question is: since I do not see an upgrade from HP or Microsoft to provide WPA-PSK security, can I find out what the CPU is so I can perhaps unload Windows Mobile 5.0 and load up a different OS, or use a third party program to provide this level of wireless security?

Thanks.

I was afraid of that . . . It looks like my device is a not-very-good anchor now. Technology marches on.
