Ipaq 6300 and "An Unrecognizable Battery has been detected" issue

[ Edited ]

I just bought a pair or  6300's that needed a battery, so I got aftermarket batterie "compatable" but when i put them in and on the dock a battery error messg pops up - "Unreconized battery has been detected and cant be charged",then it discharges the battery!

So whats the fix? I've read that this might work - charge it for 4hours then remove, then try again after 24hrs?

Anyone here have a real info on this problem?  What is the cause is the cause of it??

Help!

Well it would seem this board is fairly "quiet" ....?

So - the short answer is yes! For any 'compatible battery that is used and clearly only fits your handheld anyway - it is more than likely that - if you try the "Charge for the recommended time in the charger - remove battery from charger - leave for approx 24hrs - then connect it to your handheld unit - It should be recognised and will charge OK in the handheld.

If you find anything other than this - Post here.
