IPAQ 5450

Can anyone help me to configure my IPAQ 5450 to enable it to a phone as I have seen ppl using it as phone? My system is running on PPC 2000. Thanks

Re: IPAQ 5450

I would hope it is 2002 or 2003.

Re: IPAQ 5450

You could use the gsm/gprs wireless pack with Firmware Update Release 3 and Ipaq Rom-Version 1.11.XX. This works only under PPC2002.

Re: IPAQ 5450

Thank for the reply, I made a mistake on the version of PPC 2000 instead of PPC 2002. Another issue is that is there any free programme which I can try it on as a phone? As if there is no phone programme, how can I used the GSM or even GPRS, right? Next question, can I upgrade it to PPC 2004 with the hardware of 2002 version? Thanks.

Re: IPAQ 5450

The 5450 can be upgraded to PPC2003 but not PPC2003SE. The GSM/GPRS pack comes with the software to use it as a phone. Rainald Taesler, I believe, also has this pack and just loves it !
