Making it matter with Baker Hughes

For me one of the most exciting aspects of attending HP Discover Vegas 2012 is talking with customers and learning about how they are making a difference.  Baker Hughes, an oilfield service company, is one of those customers. On Wednesday, Raf Los (@Wh113Rabbit) sat down with special guest Faisal Asif, a director of process assurance and continued excellence for Baker Hughes, to review some of the highlights from day three of HP Discover 2012 in Las Vegas.

The two talked about:

• The HP IT Performance Excellence award that Baker Hughes won

• An overview of how HP helps Baker Hughes prevent downtime in the field at oil rigs across the world

• Some thoughts on enterprise resilience—Applications must be secure, processes should always be adjusted and improved

• HP Quality Center and HP Performance Center help Baker Hughes detect bugs early in the production cycle, which is huge
