October 1st, we are announcing a major set of improvements to our PartnerOne Program to make it simpler, more profitable, and more predictable for you to do business with HP.

Here are the top 5 reasons to get excited about PartnerOne in FY14:

 

 

 1.      Intuitive membership structure

The new Platinum, Gold, Silver and Business Partner membership levels will be consistent across all business units to make it easier for you to differentiate your business in the market.  We will also promote our Platinum and Gold partner levels in HP end-user marketing campaigns and list partner names by membership level on HP’s Global Partner Locator as well as Partner Directory for HP Software partners.

 

 2.      Predictable compensation

In May we removed gates and caps so qualifying partners can earn rebates from their first sale and have unlimited earning potential.  Now we’ve created a consistent compensation model across all business units for Core Compensation, New Business Opportunity and Business Group Bonuses to significantly boost your profitability with competitive rebates.

 

 3.      New PartnerOne Specializations in key growth areas

Cloud, Big Data, Services and Managed Print have become high-growth opportunities for both HP and our partners – which is why we’ll reward their investment in these areas by adding Cloud Builder, Vertica, Autonomy and ServiceOne specializations to PartnerOne, and enhancing our Managed Print specialization.  In addition, our new Cloud Partner Solution Navigator will help customers find the right partner in their quest to ‘move to the cloud’.

 

 4.      Streamlined certification requirements

Results show that partners with higher numbers of HP ExpertOne certified sales and presales professionals close more deals.  In order to simplify the certification process we’ve not only cut the number of different technical certifications in half, we’ve also created role-based certifications that require a lot less time out-of-office.

 

 5.      Enhanced Partner Portal

Starting in Q4, you will start to see updated HP branding and an improved partner portal navigation experience that will require fewer clicks to access important information and tools – plus faster turnaround times for special pricing.  These upgrades, along with others to roll out in coming months, serve to lay the groundwork for the HP’s Next Generation Partner Portal launch. Partner Central remains the entry point for HP Software partners.  Over time, Partner Central will integrate to the Unison Portal.

 

We’re instituting these improvements to make working with HP simple, profitable, and predictable.
