A new operating system was recently released and SDM is not displaying any SoftPaqs supporting this new OS in "All Products" mode. Why?

If you are using SDM in "Update" mode, you may want to refer to FAQ(20) (http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/HP-SoftPaq-Download-M
There are three reasons why this could be the case:
- Not all HP models will have the required or recommended hardware specifications to run new operating systems.
A rule of thumb to consider is that the newer the model is, the more likely that SoftPaqs supporting a new operating system will be released for said model. In the past, a "cut-off" line seems to be around 3 years. However, HP reserves the right to change this at any time.
- It takes time to qualify software for new operating systems.
A rule of thumb to consider is that the newer the model is, the sooner SoftPaqs will be released that support a new operating system. For example: a model that is only one year old will likely be updated before a model that is two years old.
Note: in both of the above cases, a way to verify is to visit http://www.hp.com/support and go to the download page for your model. If the new operating system is listed and SoftPaqs support it, then SDM will support it as well.
- If you are using "All Products" mode, there is an OS filter that is always active. If you have ever used "All Products" mode, SDM will always be applying this filter which will likely not include any newly released operating systems. Please go to the Configuration Options and select all the editions of the newly released operating system.
