After running SDM, a dialog box displaying the following message appears:
"Proxy authentication is required for Internet access. Please change your proxy settings accordingly."

This means that your network requires proxy credentials in order to reach the Internet. You are likely running SDM in a corporate environment where access to the internet is restricted and requires authentication to proceed.
These credentials and information should be provided by your network administrator or IT department. The information you will need to enter is the following: proxy server name or IP address, proxy port (if other than port 80), username and password.
Within SDM, please go to Tools / Proxy Options, select "Use Custom Settings", enter your proxy server name (or ip address) and port. Then check the "Proxy login required" checkbox, fill in the appropriate "User name" and "password", and click OK.
For the Proxy server name and port, you may be able to spot that information in your browser configuration. If a script is being used in the browser configuration, enter the script URL in your browser and the script should contain the proxy server and port. If you do not know what your proxy server and port are, please consult your IT department or ISP provider.
Username and password for proxy are generally not stored in the browser configuration but rather could be prompted for when you visit the first web page of your session. If they are not, then they are stored elsewhere. If you do not what your proxy credentials are, please consult your IT department or ISP provider.
