XML.setContent(): XML document failed to parse error

XML.setContent(): XML document failed to parse

Getting the above XML error when searching for interactions that were submitted from service catalog module i.e by using order from catalog option. To resolve this we tried the below

1. We found that this is a defect in HP SM and HP has provided  workarounds as per the knowledge articles KM00728922, KM00511099 and KM00243549. We tried each of the workarounds but no luck :(

2. Other similar posts in this community sugested it could be due to the currency of the cart item not being US Dollar. We tried creating a new catalog item with US Dollar currency but still the issue persists.

HPSM version : 9.33 (upgraded from 7.11)

Please suggest how to overcome this issue.

Regards,

Shwetha

Re: XML.setContent(): XML document failed to parse error

I am trying to search for interactions that were raised from service catalog. See attached screenshot. Even when I update any of these inteactions I get the same XML error.

Re: XML.setContent(): XML document failed to parse error

Hi Shwetha,

Can you please click on the error and show all the messages?

It might be beacuse of some script(in FC or SL) which might be using "svcoptions".

Re: XML.setContent(): XML document failed to parse error

Hi Shwetha,

It must be showing from where the error is being generated.

You can check sd.update.interaction or incidents Format control, JavaScript section. It must have been called in 'Initial' or 'display' scetion.

Re: XML.setContent(): XML document failed to parse error

Hi Shwetha KJ,

First need to know which xml document is causing the problem? Why the xml document is wrong? You can find this by debug "RTM:4" "debugdbquery:999".

Since "RTM:4" would generate a large debug file, to make it easier to analyze the debug, you'd better get another debug to compare, using debug parameters "RTM:3" "debugdbquery:999".

Cheers :)
