Unload Script- To unload the DBDICT records

Hi All,

I had added some new fields to some of the forms and had created database tables for the same which gets recorded in the dbdict table in SM.

But when i use the unload script and use the dbdict in that, am unable to see the dbdict values once i have loaded that file in another system.

Could you please help me wiht this asap..

Thanks

Re: Unload Script- To unload the DBDICT records

Am just using query as "true" and datamap as false for dbdict in the unload script.

Is there a better method to get the dbdict contents exported..??

Re: Unload Script- To unload the DBDICT records

in any case you can go to db, in table field print dbdict.
In the format list choose dbdict.db2.
In name list print the name of the table which you want to unload and push on search.
From Option menu choose export/unload and then do other steps as if you are maing normal unload.

This will definitely unload all your fields from table.

Appriciate points for help

Re: Unload Script- To unload the DBDICT records

Hi Praveen,

To unload the forms, you have to select tab;e formats and to unload table, you have to select dbdict in table name and in query: name#"probsummary"

Another way is to directly go to db and then search the table and then from option menu select unload.
In case still you have doubts, attach the screenshot of your unload script.

Re: Unload Script- To unload the DBDICT records

If you want to unload several tables in one record you can write them one after another in the unload file (look at the screenshot).

If you want to unload some Formats too then you have to add in first columnt - format and in second column name="SD.open.interaction"

Re: Unload Script- To unload the DBDICT records

I was able to create the new fields corresponding to all tables while exporting the dbdict. But after doing so the new fields are pointing to "NULLTABLE"

Could somebody guide me on this

Thanks
Praveen
