Time difference in records in SM and integrated Crystal Reports

Hi Experts,

We have crystal reports integrated with SM 7.11

When we are trying to extract a set of records(Incident records for a month) from crystal reports and SM there is a difference in number.

In SM there are more records than crystal reports.

I have analysed this and this happens because crystal report is lagging by 5.30 hours from SM.

Can anybody tell me how to rectify this issue?

Thanks

Abhishek

Check what is set on both servers in time. Don't forget that time inside of SM is stored in CET (if I am not mistaken) and on screen it shows you the number which is recalculated based on the time zone which you are using.

Thanks Vadim,
But in my SM the time zone is IST as specified in the SIR.
But if you know how is the date field mapped and populated from SM to Crystal you can help me.

Hello,

I dont know what is your time zone offset and i have not done Crystal integration , but I wasnted to say thet inside of the db time is stored without your timezone addition.

I think that in crystal you will be getting the data directly from the db which will give you difference of your time with  the time inside of the SM db.

Hi ,

I think there are few setting you need to make in CR to set IST format.

Search more on this in google.

Re: Time difference in records in SM and integrated Crystal Reports

Hi,

You will find a time difference of exactly 05:30 hours in your crystal reports date/time fields.

You need to add 05:30 hours for each date/time field in CR for while preparing reports to generate exact reports.

Spoiler

Thanks Gaurav for your reply.

I think your answer best suits my resolution, but I am very new to CR.

Could you please let me know where and how can we do the setting to edit the default time.

Regards

Abhishek
