1) Is there a guide on how to configure SRC interface (remove dashboards)
2) Does SCR support "non cart items"

Some SRC tailoring for SRC 1.30 is documented in the SM online help if you search for SRC. The dashboards tab is not configurable and cannot be removed, though.
As for SRC supporting non-cart-items - we do support non-cart support request items, but I did not find support for non-cart items in the Services (requesting items) area of SRC.

The installation media for 9.30 includes the Interactive Upgrade Guide. Additionally, I've attached the 9.20-9.30 upgrade guide.
Note that the upgrade utility currently can be used ONLY for an English only Service Manager implementation. If your system includes one or more language packs, the upgrade utitily which support localized systems is normally released about 90 days after the intial product release.
