I was getting message: HP Service Manger license expires in 7 days so I replaced LicFile.txt file with new LicFile.txt file restarted service manage and I'm still getting this message.   I ran sm -reportlic and it shows that my license will expire in 7 days.

any suggestions would be a great help

Thanks

Re: License File

Either you accidentally saved the original license or the new license code is incorrect.

Re: License File

Hi Clyde,

Just in case you are using Windows Server 2008 you'll need to check for the license file in the following path:

%PROGRAMDATA%Hewlett-Packard\HPOvLIC\data\LicFile.txt

It might be you are actually needing to place it there instead of using the other path that will be:

C:Program Files\Common Files\Hewlett-Packard\HPOvLIC\data\LicFile.txt

Regards,

Alex

Re: License File

[ Edited ]

For Service Manager, the license file is located in the application RUN directory. For example:

C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\Service Manager 9.30\Server\RUN\LicFile.txt

Re: License File

Hi,

Yes it does simply means either you have trail version license or code is not valid.
So ask HP to generate the new lic file fro you.
