Lic file

Experts,

I am having the license file attached in my dev environment.

The named users are able to login, but any floating user operator is not able to login. Attaching the lic file.

For each of the modules, if I take Incident Management, I see the lic as

Incident Management           Named (Licensed)             Floating(Licensed)

                                                           0(5)                                    1(10)

What is the count in the braces means ?. If I make the flaoting user to named, i am able to login.

Please guide.

Thank you

dev.

Re: Lic file

HI Dev

The number in brackets is what the license file is showing the # your are licensed for . The number before that is how many users are logged into the system

Let me know if questions

Thank you

Lisa

Re: Lic file

Run sm -reportlic:1 and show us the results and let us know your SM version and how many users that you know are currently logged on in the dev environment. We can then better determine your license issue.

Does it happen all operator who is registered as floating user?

Did it happen in the past?

Can operator login to SM system if a certain floaing operator is changed to named user vice versa?
(Note: please don't change falcon itself.)

Can you check the "Server Quiesced State" of your system by "sm -reportlic:1" command?
It has three status. it the below.

    Allow All Logins
    Allow System Administrator Logins Only
    Allow No Logins

  http://support.openview.hp.com/selfsolve/document/KM00664804

When system status is "Allow System Administrator Logins Only", operator who has sysadmin capability only can login to ths system.

Regards,

Maehara
