Knowledge Management Search do not return documents

Hi All,

 

I am on SM 7.1 . My seacrh engine is connected and running and also i could run the full reindex. The KMUpdate processed all the records from kmknowledgebaseupdate table.


However despite all my efforts the search does not return any resluts. There are around 7000 records which were reindexed, I checked Knowledgebase Maintenance, it shows online but Docs: are shown as zero.


Could anyone please help me

Hi Blue,

 

Is there anything the log has to say about the Knowledge Management?

 

 

I faced the same issue in HPSM 9.30, What I did is, stoped and started the KMUpdate services, waited for the defined refresh interval and reindexed the the knowledgebases. Searched the Knowledgebase everything Worked fine.

 

If possible please post the log messages regarding the Knowledge Management.

and follow the steps as stated.

 

The reindexing process may take several minutes or hours depending on the volume of data.

 

Let me know if the issue resolves.

Hi

 

I do not have  any issue in reindexing. As i told, the indexing works just fine, couldnt find any error and KMUpdate is working fine.

 

After the reindexing when i search Knowledge docs, it returns 0 records.

In Knowledgebase Maintenance, i could see the last indexed date is changed , but the number of records is blank

Hi Blue,

 

Try killing and rescheduling the KMUpdate background process.

 

Then reindex the knowledgebases. Wait for few minutes.

 

Actually I faced the same issue as yours. Initailly, I had no issue with reindexing however there were 0 documents shown while doing a knowledgebase search. Performed the same step as stated in the link and suddenly everything seems to be in place. the knowledge search shows around 440 OTB documents.

Same issue, there are no records displayed on Searching Knowledge

Hi,

 

I don't have much idea over the issue as stated by you, other then saying that the steps mentioned in the link, solved the "Knowledge Management search returning 0 results" in my case.

 

However, would you please have a check on the memory usage on your database server, the time you run the re-indexing of the Knowledgebases. Is the usage too high while runing the index thing? If yes, then you may have to think about increasing the database server's memory.
