Re: Integration using HPSM 9.3 web service

Hi Nidhi,

To raise a ticket via Webservice, please go through the document in the KM469500: http://support.openview.hp.com/selfsolve/document/KM469500, the document already show us the example on how we can auto create ticket from Webservice.

This post also may be helpful for you:  http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/HP-Service-Manager-Service/SM-OOB-Web-Service/m-p/4648842/highlight/tru...

You may want to check on those KM with the documents on tailoring and using web service: http://support.openview.hp.com/selfsolve/document/KM1195771

Re: Integration using HPSM 9.3 web service

Hi

Thanks for quick reply and documents

(assigned Kudos :) )

Could you please clear following quick pointers ( I have gone through first 2 links) :

So in order to create a incident ticket (publish our probsummary table ) we need to do followign steps :

1. Covert existing wsdl incient managment into JS.

2. Write another java script calling the java script functions of pointer 1.

Now my quries :

1. How can i "call" or "connect" my 3rdparty tool database (oracle) in my java script to "set values " from that databse to my present probsummary tabel (web service function).

2. Where i call call this javscript once it is checked in script library ?

Its urgent ...looking forward to reply..

Thanks

Nidhi

Re: Integration using HPSM 9.3 web service

Hi,

Please let me know what is your Third Party tool?

If you want to consume the wsdl file to create the incident ticket, you need to use SOAP UI or .NET Web Services Studio as an outside tool.

When you have two tools above, you just need to create the project and import the wsdl file, edit the connection parameters, execute it then it will create the new ticket for you in SM. ( Refer to the document in the first link ).

Re: Integration using HPSM 9.3 web service

Hi,

In your question:

1. How can i "call" or "connect" my 3rdparty tool database (oracle) in my java script to "set values " from that databse to my present probsummary tabel (web service function). Do you mean you are trying to connect your databse to your SM to set value from databse to SM by the javascript?

2. Where i call call this javscript once it is checked in script library ?

Thank you and Best regards,

Re: Integration using HPSM 9.3 web service

The3rd party tool is  monitoring tool. Only confrm information it genrate "alert" that should be converted to Inicdent in hPSM. This monitoring tool have oracle database.

so it is HPSM integration with monitoring tool having oracle database through web services.

thanks
