Give a user acces to a table (kmcategory) - Edit Knowledge Category

Hi all,

I am trying to give a user access to the kmcategory table but keep getting  "You are not authorized to view the kmcategory data"

I thought permissions were set on the "privileges" section in Format Control and there wasn't a Format Control setup so i created it and set all conditions to true but its still not working.

Where else can the permissions be set for a table? I seem to have a memory blank at the moment!

I haven't set any permissions up yet.  I thought if Condition = True in privlages on FC then all users would have access?

Please indicate your SM version. KM was rewritten in 9.3x to use Process Designer and the solution may vary based on your release.

In 9.3x releases, to access KM configuration files, the user must have a security role which allows access. Maintenance of KM category values may be defined as a KM Configuration task.

Also, if you only have named licenses for KM, does the user have a named license assigned?

Thanks for the response.

We are on version 9.31

The user has a named licence, and has a KM profile with everything ticked apart from "Edit Adaptive Learning"

KM Profiles control what the person can do related to knowledge editing and publishing.

To update/manage KM Module configuration, the user must have a Security Role for KM Configuration. What is listed in the operator's security role array?
