Attachment File Types SM 9.33

Hi

 

I would like to know what kind of file types can be attached to a record in HP SM 9.33, like xls, doc, pdf etc...

Hi Blue_1,

 

 you can attach doc, pdf,txt, xls, png .. zip files.

In 9.33 we have improved attachment handling. You can attach multiple files, attach them as zip file and many other improvements. more information you can find in the SM 9.33 release notes pages 8 and 9 - Attachment Handling

Thank you for the quick reply, but the type of files supported is not mentioned in the doc, is that info available in the doc or in some other document

The extensionstate table provides the ability to block some document types from being added as attachments and can be extended. Our of box, about 85 file types are blocked. 

 

To view the file extension restrictions, access database manager and enter extentionstate as the tablename. If a file type is not listed as unsafe, then files of that type can be attached.
