SM Tip: The record is locked when "Search Knowledge" for interaction is executed

Symptoms

Symptom:

In Service Manager (SM) 9.32.1001 p1, the record is locked when "Search Knowledge" for interaction is executed.

Steps To Reproduce:

  1. Login to  SM via the SM client
  2. Service Desk > Search Interaction Records
  3. Click the Search button
  4. More > Search Knowledge
  5. System Status > Show Locks
  6. Verify that the record is lock

Diagnosis

Fix:

Workaround:

Close searching tab and check the record is not locked.

When trying to print I get a message "Open the print carriage access door, clear the jam and then press OK to continue."  I follow instructions and I keep getting the same message.  It seems as if the printer is in a loop sequence.  I am desparate for HELP!
