Fourth Annual BSIMM Conference

A few weeks ago we launched BSIMM-V at RSA Europe in Amsterdam and last week we held the fourth annual BSIMM Community Conference in Virginia. We had 103 attendees representing 35 firms in the house.  The content was strong, and the networking was better than ever. The three big take-aways from the conference are:

  1. We, as an industry, know how to do software security.
  2. Measurement is the best way to get started or to improve software security in a firm.
  3. The BSIMM Community is vibrant and engaged. We can help.

Special kudos to all the speakers who volunteered their experience and expertise to give a talk. Since the conference is closed-door for community members only, the best way to get a look behind the scenes is to join up! Our goal for BSIMM6 is to have 100 participating firms. We need your help with that! Reach out and bring in more firms. The more data we have as a collective, the better off we all are.
