Over 200 ZDI Filters passed this year

When it comes to network security, is HP TippingPoint in your corner? We hope so, because we have the stats to back you up! So far, in 2014, HP TippingPoint DVLabs has released more than 200 zero-day filters! That’s right – 200. That is more than 1 a day. How’s that for a strong defense?

How do we do it? Well, thanks to the vulnerability research conducted by the HP Security Research ZeroDay Initiative team, which is comprised of approximately 3,000 contributing security researchers, HP helps identify zero-day vulnerabilities as they are emerging. Then the HP TippingPoint DVLabs team creates virtual patches, also known as filters, to keep our customers proactively protected! This enables HP TippingPoint customers to be protected against attacks, while the software vendors work to fix the code.

In the infographic below, we explore the lifecycle of a software vulnerabilty and compare other IPS devices to HP TippingPoint

Your enterprise security is always top-of-mind, and HP TippingPoint roots for the good guys. So, with 200 filters thus far for 2014? That’s a pretty impressive defense!
