Learn to think like a bad guy...one mission at a time

With RSA Conference 2014 this week, HP  wants you to start thinking like a bad guy! At this year’s conference, HP Security will be hosting the “Think like a bad guy” scavenger hunt—it’s your chance to show off your ‘bad guy’ skills to win fame, notoriety, and a handy book on how to think like a villain.

The game begins on Monday at 6pm and end Thursday at noon. Are you ready to begin your mission? Here are the details:

The prep

  • Download the GooseChase app from the iPhone or Android app store.
  • Create a log in.
  • Open the GooseChase app and find the "HP Enterprise Security" game. This is where you'll see the missions you must accomplish.

The hunt

  • To complete each mission, you must select it and press "Snap Evidence." Use your smart phone camera to capture photo proof.

The objective

  • Become famous (or infamous) and show colleagues you know how to have fun and be a bad guy.
  • See your name in lights on the Leader Board.
  • Win cool prizes.

The prizes

The top 20 scores at the end of the game will receive the book, "How to be a Villian..." Everyone accumulating 300 points or more will be entered to win an HP Slate 7! The drawing will be held Thursday at 1pm (you need not be present to win).

Tips 'n Tricks

  • From within the app, you can keep track o fhow you are doing against the other 'bad guys' via the photo feed and rankings.
  • If someone is getting a bit too...ahem...'creative' with their photos, you can down-vote them via the photo feed to flag the picture for review.
  • You don't have to complete all the tasks, but the more you complete, the better chance you have at winning.
  • All photos will be reviewed for legitimacy prior to final ranking.
  • Have fun, get creative, interact with your fellow attendees and partners, and don't be shy!

Who will reign supreme as best villain? We'll be looking for you at the 'Bad Guy Lair' at the HP booth!
