HP introduces 5 new cyber-security products at HP Protect 2013

ppt_library_4x3_divider-02.pngAs we kick off HP Protect 2013, HP Security Products has announced and released new and optimized solutions that are enabling organizations to disrupt the infiltration of cyber-attacks. They also help enhance organization's effectiveness and the capabilities of Security Operation Center (SOC) teams through improved big data analytics and real time, detection of application level threats.

With the landscape of cyber threats rapidly increasing, security teams must be able to manage their security platforms--without the need for new training programs--to more effectively mount a defense.

HP Security Products is delivering data-driven security technologies to enable security teams to run more efficiently. Now staff can focus on deriving  security intelligence from big data and spend less time on system management, risk assessment, manual vulnerability searching and as well as product deployment. The new HP ArcSight solutions enable the identification and prioritization of events more quickly. This is possible by combining security intelligence with business sense and application- level threat detection, to overall enable better control for our customers in these security environments.

The top announcements are:

  • HP ArcSight Application View
  • HP ArcSight Risk Insight
  • HP ArcSight Management Center
  • HP ArcSight ESM V6.5c
  • HP TippingPoint Next Generation Firewall

HP ArcSight Application View 1.0

The HP ArcSight Application View solution integrates the correlation and analysis capabilities of HP ArcSight Security Information Event Management (SIEM) with the application-level security event logging of HP Fortify Runtime. They work inside applications to actively monitor user and session behavior to determine fraudulent activity. The combination accurately captures, identifies, and correlates threat-related events to give security administrators immediate visibility into application –level events through reports and correlated dashboards.

HP ArcSight Risk Insight

The HP ArcSight Risk Insight 1.0 solution is intended to leverage investments in the current SIEM technology while ultimately engaging and combining security intelligence with business risk. This will provide senior-level management teams with business-level insight to identify sophisticated attack targets, interpret the current state of security technology deployment, and scale potential business risk. It helps teams decide where to best focus mitigation efforts in easy to read dashboards, reports, KPI’s and heat-mapping.

HP ArcSight Management Center 1.0

The HP ArcSight Management Center 1.0 solution serves as an enterprise-grade, centralized security management center that integrates management, configuration and monitoring of the HP ArcSight log management solution. This allows HP ArcSight users to manage large deployments of HP ArcSight Connector, HP ArcSight SmartConnectors, and HP ArcSight Logger from a single operating console. This enables the Security Operation Center (SOC) teams to focus on managing threats rather than decentralized tools and products for efficiency.

HP ArcSight ESM V6.5C

HP ArcSight ESM v6.5c brings together the latest iteration of the highly optimized back-end storage engine that allows faster querying to enable real time alerts during complex searches. It also accelerates algorithm performance for correlation event processing and significantly improves data storage efficiency. This provides an intuitive search interface to help security analysts discover threats faster with the latest CORRE engine and can also be integrated with Hadoop.
