More than a decade in the leaders quadrant – and there’s no slowing down. HP ArcSight is a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant (MQ). HP ArcSight is named a leader again, for the 11th year in a row.

HP ArcSight provides the clarity you need to find and fix the threats that matter...faster. ArcSight instantly analyzes and correlates every event across the organization, prioritizes these events based on compliance and business risk, and displays the data in a customizable dashboard so you can see and act quickly.

Gartner writes “ArcSight continues to be very visible in competitive evaluations of SIEM technologies." Gartner has validated significant improvements in our event handling capabilities through reference customers, and has recognized our vision and big data strategy.

According to Gartner, early breach discovery requires effective user activity, data access and application activity monitoring. ArcSight is the only vendor that has productized and simplified all three use cases to ensure your business is safe and secured. Our customers have trusted HP for over 40 years for security and compliance, and we are only getting started.

Why is SIEM relevant?

This Magic Quadrant looks at broader adoption of SIEM technology driven by need to detect threats and breaches in real time. By helping customers detect breaches early, they are able to improve security monitoring and satisfy regulatory requirements (PCI, SOX, HIPAA, and IT Gov.). Gartner evaluates vendors in the Magic Quadrant on two main dimensions: completeness of vision and ability to execute on that vision.

Current blocking technology, like firewalls and upgraded antivirus software are not enough. Security teams need real-time information, flexibility, responsiveness, aggregation, analysis, and compliance with regulations. Security information and event management solutions, such as HP ArcSight, are key to staying ahead of the bad guys, helping us to find them once they break-in, but before they have stolen information. Most of the bad guys are already in your organization and you don’t know it yet.
