Local Account Logging Into Trim

[ Edited ]

We are using Trim 7.1.0.1157 and SQL Server 2008 R2.  Our workgroup servers are Windows 2008 R2

Is there a way to log on to Trim as a local account and not as a network account?

This account would not be on the domain.

We are trying to restrict some users to just to be able logon to Trim and do nothing else.

Thanks for your help.

Re: Local Account Loging Into Trim

In theory yes, though you shouldn't.  You'd need to create a local account on the server which matches the name of the uesr on the local workstation.

Re: Local Account Logging Into Trim

You might be able to get it working if you add the machine name in front of their logon in their TRIM location eg.

Re: Local Account Loging Into Trim

Thanks Everyone.   We were able to get the login to work.   We will be using this login under very limited conditions.
