Updated vSphere 5.5 image is now available.

Ron in our VMware Engineering team at HP had some inportant information for us this week:

As previously stated the initial HP vSphere 5.5 ISO that was published on 9/22 did not have the CIM providers or AMS components in it. I am pleased to communicate that a new ISO is now live at VMware and this image does contain the CIM providers and AMS. This enables full management for customers who upgrade to vSphere 5.5.

The ISO is available at the following URL:

https://my.vmware.com/web/vmware/details?downloadGroup=HP-ESXI-5.5.0-GA-19SEP2013&productId=353

If you have customers who have already upgraded using the original image they can add the CIM providers and/or AMS by installing the offline management bundle found at the following URL:

http://vibsdepot.hp.com/hpq/sep2013-550/esxi-550-bundles/hp-esxi5.5uX-bundle-1.5-27.zip

Installing this bundle will ensure that they get the full set of management information that they have come to rely on.

Hope this all helps with your virtualization efforts.
