Coca-Cola FEMSA endorses HP disaster tolerance solution for SAP HANA

HP and SAP have taken another major step toward delivering an enterprise-class, in-memory, centralized database for all SAP applications.

In addition to delivering the industry’s first SAP BW Enhanced Mixed Load (BW-EML) benchmark on HANA, HP is the first technology partner to be certified by SAP for its disaster tolerance (DT) solution for SAP HANA.

This is tremendously important for customers – particularly those who contemplate using HANA as the database for their ERP or BW system in addition to any other analytical applications. It allows them to host a second HANA system – at a separate location – that can take over for their production system in the event of a significant outage (for example, a power failure). With this certification, HP is now the only company in the world to deliver a certified DT solution for HANA.

“We rely on HP AppSystems for SAP HANA to process massive amounts of data that are critical to our everyday business operations. Even a few minutes of downtime would be extremely costly. We’re confident that HP’s new Disaster-Tolerant Solution for SAP HANA will ensure continuous data availability and protect our business from crippling losses.” - Rodolfo Hugo Moreno, Enterprise Architect Manager of Coca-Cola FEMSA
