CRN looks at the recent surge in HP server sales and marketshare and talks about the reasons why  Gartner's fourth-quarter 2013 preliminary worldwide shipment estimates reflect a shift in the marketplace.

"HP's worldwide server shipments were up 9.5 percent year over year in the fourth quarter compared to a 5.4 percent drop in shipments for Dell and a 19.8 percent drop in shipments for IBM, according to Gartner preliminary worldwide shipment estimates.

Personally I am pleased to see all the efforts and hard work from HP, top to bottom, is finding resonance with our customers. Expect to see much more from HP this 2014. CRN has a nice article on the shift and the potential reasons why the market is shifting. See above link to the entire article.
