Information Governance: Simplifying Legacy Data Cleanup with HP Autonomy Professional Services

A few weeks ago I wrote about an Information Governance strategy session that HP held with top industry analysts.  One of the core themes mentioned was the need for organizations to proactively take control of their data—leveraging file analysis, classification and remediation technologies to clean up, and even migrate historical data.

To address this growing need, we announced the HP Legacy Data Cleanup solution, powered by HP ControlPoint, last year. For many, this product will serve as a critical information governance strategy component.  However, not all organizations have the in-house resources and governance expertise to take control of legacy data on their own—a complementary service may also be needed.

Introducing a new Legacy Data Cleanup Assessment Service

We are excited to announce a new service from HP Autonomy Professional Services that combines the power of HP’s ControlPoint technology with the technical and governance consulting experience that is resident in our services team.  This combination will further streamline and take the pain out of the legacy data cleanup process for many organizations.

Our professional services team has developed and implemented a unique methodology across customers in varying industries. We have now bundled this expertise and knowledge to allow customers to quickly and easily address this important information governance use case.

Projects are typically a six week engagement where we use a two-pronged approach (both business and IT) to provide visibility into how effectively your current information assets are being used. This new visibility helps your formulate a unique and well thought-out roadmap that meets your organization’s objectives.
